He's ALL boy!

I might have told some of you that the blood tests they did at my appointment last week were for Down's Syndrome and spinal defects. They told me they wouldn't call me and tell me the results of the test unless they found something that looked bad. And if they did find something bad, they would call me by this week. I haven't gotten a call, so I'm guessing that's good news!
On another note, we had a full anatomy scan yesterday, where they take measurements of the body, head, lungs, kidneys, brain, and all the body parts and organs. It looks like Poppy Seed has all his major parts, including a definite penis! Here are some more pics of the cute little guy:

You can see the skull here, with the eye sockets, nose, and mouth. That little thing to the left of his head is his fist.

This is a closer view of his head...you can even see some of his brain in his skull.

Here is where he flashed us...it is a view of his butt from the bottom...legs on the sides, butt on top, and little penis hanging down. Blackmail material for later mwahahaha!

This one is my favorite...it is a side view of his whole body. You can't really see his head, but you can see his spine at the top left, curving around to his butt in the top middle, then pelvis, side view of the penis, and leg is that swirly looking thing below on the right, if that makes sense.
So that's our little boy. Oh, and his name is Micah Lee Reyes! Though I think we will probably call him Poppy Seed forever.

Do these sweats make me look fat?

Ok...time to be honest. I have been told that pregnancy is a beautiful thing, and that I won't mind my growing belly because the life inside of me makes it all worth it. I really need to shoot straight with the world and go on record to say that I really don't feel that way at all! Everyday I wake up hating the way I look and wondering if pregnant people really, honestly do like getting big, or if I'm the only one hating carrying around these extra pounds. My hips are wider, my belly sticks out, I officially cannot fit into any of my normal clothes, I only feel comfortable in sweats, and I really do feel disgusting.
I am sure it will probably not bother me as much once I get to the end result, but this bun in the oven thing is really not that great, and I just think I needed to say what no pregnant mother will ever dare say, because we are supposed to be "glowing" 24/7 right now. Well, I'm not glowing...I'm just plain fat!

Ultrasound Video...It's a Boy!!

We just found out that we are having a boy, and Leon got a little video of the ultrasound at the dr's office. It isn't the best quality because it was just taken on the iPhone and I had to put it on YouTube, but you will be able to see some of the baby's movements, maybe the heartbeat, etc. Enjoy!

Who Will Poppy Seed Look Like?

I was pondering that very question this evening when I decided to get online and see if I could find one of those websites where I upload a picture of Leon and one of me and let it morph our pictures into the picture of our future child.
Well I successfully found one of those websites, but let's just say we found the results to be less than thrilling, but nonetheless blog-worthy.
According to this website, here is what Poppy Seed will look like if it's a boy:

And if Poppy Seed is a girl:

Conclusion: this child is going to have weird little squinty eyes and completely busted teeth!
Let's hope this website doesn't prove to be accurate!
